About Wolfpack

No. Wolfpack is available for all users globally. However, only US citizens and US residents can set up a brokerage account and trade stocks and ETFs within the app.

A Wolfpack account allows you to use the Wolfpack app and discovery Stocks and ETFs that each your investment criteria. A brokerage account allows you to trade stocks and ETFs within the app.

Allows you to define your own personalized investment profile(s), by selecting several investment filters. Activating each filter based on its level of importance to you (Mandatory, High, Medium, Low). Once a discovery profile is defined, Wolfpack will use its investment criteria to match with Stocks and ETFs, provided with a percentage match based on your discovery profile(s).

Auto top-up automatically deposit funds into your Apex brokerage account in order to grow your investment portfolio. You can activate multiple concurrent top-ups in two ways:

    1. Setup an auto top-up and define an amount you wish to deposit including the frequency and duration.
    2. Setup an auto top-up when you buy stocks or ETFs, so that you can replenish your brokerage account with what you used to buy your investment.

Yes. Anyone can download Wolfpack from the App Store or Google Play and sign up to use the app. However, only US citizens and US residents can open a brokerage account.

Wolfpack uses Apex Clearing as our broker dealer. Apex is a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). Under SIPC your account is protected in the event of a brokerage firm failure or liquidation. The SIPC limit covers $500,000 of securities of which $250,000 can be in cash. All investments carry risk of loss. SIPC does not provide protection against a loss in market value of your investments.

Apex Clearing Corporation is the broker and clearing custodian for your US securities account. Apex Clearing Corporation is an SEC-registered broker-dealer and member of FINRA and SIPC. See our Form CRS, FINRA Broker Check and Apex Disclosures for more information.

Wolfpack Financial Inc is a FinTech company registered in Delaware USA. Our corporate office is in Palo Alto, California, USA.

Yes. Wolfpack can be used globally. Initially, you must be a US citizen or US resident to trade stocks and ETFs with Wolfpack. We plan to allow in-app trading to other countries over time, a timetable has not yet been confirmed.

Yes. Wolfpack contains copies of your transaction history. You can use these documents for tax reporting purposes.

Your account is for your self-directed investing purposes. Wolfpack does not offer advice at this time.

Onboarding

Unfortunately your details did not match our third party verification checks. In most cases, a mismatch is as a result of a recent change of address which has not been updated.

If your brokerage account application is rejected by our automated verification process, your application will be passed on to our back-office team for manual processing.  You may be asked to provide additional information such as a copy of a photo ID showing your current address. The manual verification process can take up to 5 business days to resolve, depending on the nature of the rejection and the time taken to retrieve additional information.

Brokerage Account

No. You can only have one brokerage account per Social Security Number (SSN).

Yes. You can set up multiple Wolfpack accounts as long as you use a unique email address per account. However, you can only have one brokerage account per Social Security Number (SSN).

Only individual brokerage accounts are supported at the time of launch. Wolfpack plans to add other account types such as retirement accounts, custodian accounts and joint accounts. We will advise you when the other accounts become available.

No. You must use a physical address for your brokerage account. You can use a PO Box as your mailing address.

Yes, a Social Security Number (SSN) is a mandatory requirement when setting up a brokerage account.

No. Apex Clearing is the Broker Dealer. All trades and financial accounts are managed by Apex Clearing.

You must be 18 years of age or older, be a US citizen or US resident, have a physical address in the US, and have a valid Social Security Number (SSN).

Yes. You can close your brokerage account at any time.

Once your account is approved, you may transfer funds and choose your investments. Please refer to the Manage Broker section under the More menu of the app for more information.

In most cases, fund transfers are available for investment in US securities on the same day, if submitted by 4PM ET.

Stock trades settle two business days following the trade date, known as T+2. Once the cash proceeds from a stock trade are settled and reflected as funds available for withdrawal you can initiate the transfer of funds. Fund transfer requests are processed the same day if received before 4PM ET on regular business days.

Your brokerage account is a cash account which means that your investments must be paid for in full using settled funds by the settlement date of the trade. Apex requires that you have cash available in your account prior to placing trades. Additionally, when sale proceeds are used for new purchases prior to the settlement date of the sale, you are agreeing in good faith to hold the new investment at least until the settlement date of the sale.

You need to ensure that your brokerage account name and bank account name are an exact match. If they are not, you will need to submit a support call so we can resolve your issue. Visit Support and submit a request for assistance.

Trading

You will need to define at least one Discovery Profile in order to start receiving stock and ETF picks under your “My Picks” section. If you already have a Discovery Profile defined and are still not receiving anything in your “My Picks” section, consider refining your profile to make it broader to increase your chances of finding a match.

You must create a brokerage account to trade stocks and ETFs within the app. In addition, you will need to fund your brokerage account before you are able to buy stocks and ETFs.

Wolfpack provides Market Orders only. We plan to include Limit Orders at a later date.

No. Wolfpack does not have Options Trading.

Crypto trading is planned to be launched by mid-2022 and will include over 27 cryptocurrency assets. Wolfpack users will be notified when crypto trading is launched.

You will have a separate dedicated crypto wallet which you will use to store your crypto assets. You will be able to trade these crypto assets or transfer them to another external wallet at any time. Funds collected from traded crypto assets will be deposited directly into your Wolfpack trading bank account.

The purchase and sale of securities is subject to a trade settlement period that is typically 2 business days from the trade date known as (T+2).

The cash proceeds from the sale of a stock or ETF investment are considered “unsettled funds” for 2 business days following the sale. The cash from an investment sale appears in your account immediately but is unsettled for 2 business days.

Yes! You are allowed to reinvest unsettled funds for new investments. In so doing you are agreeing in good faith to hold your new investment until at least the settlement date of the cash used.

A good faith violation (GFV) occurs when you invest using unsettled funds and sell the new investment prior to the settlement date of the cash used. If you incur 3 GFVs within a 12-month period, your account will be restricted from using unsettled funds for new investments. You will be required to wait for funds to settle before reinvesting the cash.

We do not provide margin trading at this time.

We do not provide mutual fund or bond trading at this time.

Fund your account, then go to the trading interface in the app.

Orders are processed during regular US market hours as market orders. A market order instructs the broker to buy or sell securities for your account at the next available market price. It remains in effect on the business day entered, and usually results in the prompt purchase or sale of all the shares of stock in question, if the security is actively traded, and market conditions permit.

Yes – you can enter an order to buy a dollar amount of a security. The system will fill the order in whole and fractional amounts of a share. The minimum investment for this type of order is USD $5.00.

Regular US market hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:00PM ET, Monday to Friday. Orders can be placed at any time and will only be eligible for execution from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00PM ET.

Orders placed when the regular US market session is closed will “Pend” until they are fully processed on the system before the start of trading on the next business day. Please check the status of your orders prior to the market open on the next business day.

If an order is rejected, you will receive a notification immediately or on the order status screen. The most common reasons for rejected orders:

  • Your account may have insufficient funds to pay for the investment. Please check your available balance and add funds if necessary.
  • Your account may be restricted from new purchases. Please contact us with questions.
  • The symbol is invalid or has been entered incorrectly. Please check the symbol in the Watchlist section of the app.

Dividends & Taxes

A distribution of a portion of a company profit to its shareholders. The payment of the dividend is decided by the board of directors.

To record the entitlement to a dividend, companies establish key dates associated with the dividend payment to shareholders. The “record date” establishes the holders of a security entitled to receive the dividend payment. The “ex-date” is the date that the security price is reduced by the amount of the dividend to reflect the amount of the dividend being paid. The “pay date” is the date that investors receive the dividend payment into their account. If you own a security prior to the ex-date of a dividend, then you will typically receive the dividend on the pay date.

There are typically no tax withholdings from investment sales in an account if the correct W8 tax information is on file. Dividends are typically taxed when received into your account. For more information, please consult with a tax advisor.

Yes, if you generate tax qualifying events during the calendar year, then you will receive a tax form from Apex Clearing in February of the following year. Tax forms are available on the mobile app in the same location as your account statements and trade confirmations.

Premium Subscriptions

Yes. Any user who subscribes to the premium service will receive a 30-day free trial. In addition, the second month will be discounted 40% off the regular price.

Simply activate the subscription service within the app and you will automatically receive access to the 30 day free trial.

At the end of the 30-day free subscription trial, you will be billed for your second month at a 40% discount to the regular price. All future months will be billed at the normal price.

You will be billed every month while your subscription service remains active.

You can cancel your subscription service at any time. Please check with the App Store or Google Play for specific terms and conditions relating to their respective cancellation policies.

Referrals

Once you have set up a brokerage account, deposited the $5 minimum and made your first trade, you will receive your sign-up bonus. Please allow up to 15 business days for the sign-up bonus to appear in your account.

You MUST set up, fund your brokerage account and complete your first trade within 10 business days from the date which you register as a Wolfpack user. Otherwise your referral bonus will expire.

Once your referral has set up their brokerage account, deposited the $5 minimum and completed their first trade. Please allow up to 15 business days for the referral bonus to appear in your account.

Your referral MUST sign up as a Wolfpack user within 10 business days from the date you referred them. In addition, your referral MUST set up, fund their brokerage account and complete their first trade within 10 business days from the date which they register as a Wolfpack user. If either of these requirements are not met, then your referral bonus will expire.

Once your sign-up or referral bonus appears in your account, you may withdraw these funds.

Firstly, we thank you for your support! At this stage, we can only credit referral bonuses to funded brokerage accounts. Your referral bonus will carry forward and, once we launch into your jurisdiction, you will be entitled to create and fund your own brokerage account and receive your referral bonus from your network of referrals. Your 10 business day expiry rule will commence from the date Wolfpack becomes available in your jurisdiction.

Yes. Wolfpack will only pay one sign-up bonus for each Social Security Number (SSN) registered on our system.

No. You will receive a referral bonus for every person you refer who signs up and funds a brokerage account.

No. Only one sign-up and/or referral bonus will be paid for each unique Social Security Number (SSN).

Privacy

Absolutely NOT! Wolfpack does not engage in selling or sharing user data to any third party. The only reason why your private data would be shared, is at the request of a government directive or legal enforcement orders.
